SMEs-focused digital lending platform SMEcorner has raised $30 million in a mixed round of equity and debt led by private equity firm Paragon Partners. While Paragon invested $10.5 million, founder Samir Bhatia, existing investors Quona Capital, Accion Venture Lab, and some high net-worth individuals also participated. The Mumbai-based company would deploy the new capital to reach over 20,000 new customers and is aiming to grow its loan book to Rs 1,500 crore by the end of this financial year.
