Kawa Space, ISRO’s Satellite Maker, Gets Funding From Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma

Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma has invested an undisclosed amount in Mumbai-based spacetech startup Kawa Space. The spacetech company is currently at its pre-series A funding round. Kawa Space, founded by Kris Nair and Bala M in 2019, builds infrastructure for space that makes space-enabled solutions accessible to everyone. It designs and operates Earth observation satellites. The company has also won a contract to build more than 27 satellites for the Indian government and India Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
