JSW Energy has entered an agreement to buy GMR Energy’s 1,050 mw-Kamalanga power project located in Odisha for a consideration of Rs 5,321 crore, the Sajjan Jindal-led company said. This transaction will increase JSW Energy’s power generation capacity to 5,609 mw, and help the loss making GMR Infrastructure, the parent company of GMR Energy, pare its debt.
