NZ’s Crimson Education hits $245m valuation after raising $5m from Solborn

Crimson Education, a tech platform and consulting firm that helps students get accepted into the world’s most competitive universities, has raised $5 million in its latest funding round. The investment, which came from South Korean venture capital firm Solborn Investment, values the company at $245 million post-money, a huge leap from 2016, when it hit a valuation of $160 million after raising $30 million from Tiger Global. Crimson Education said it has helped students around the world secure 193 Ivy League offers, 57 Oxbridge offers, and over $67 million in scholarships and financial aid.
