Singapore-headquartered student housing platform Oxfordcaps has raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by Times Internet, a subsidiary of Indian media house Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. The financing also saw participation from existing investors Kalaari Capital and Silicon Valley-based 500 Startups. The startup will use the fresh funds to fuel its growth by expanding into 10+ cities and standardise its student housing product with design thinking and technology. Oxfordcaps aims to grow its operations across education hubs in India including Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Dehradun, Indore, Jaipur, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.
