Agriculture services provider and farm aggregator, Aibono has raised $2.5 mn in pre-Series A funding led by impact fund Menterra Venture Advisors. The startup which works with 400 farmers in the Nilgiris belt and 250 retailers largely in Bengaluru, says it will utilise the fresh capital to grow its service to 2,000 further farmers and 1,000 small retailers. The growth for the next couple of years will be focused predominantly in South India, moving into new farm belts and a few cities to begin gauging demand.
