Active angel investors (including super angels and angel networks) announced investments across 60 companies in Q3 2016. The activity levels are up 122%, compared with the 27 investments announced in the previous quarter. Indian Angel Network (IAN), Kunal Shah (Freecharge), and Anand Chandrasekaran (Facebook) emerged as the most active angel investors for the quarter with six investments each. Consumer Internet companies have been the favourite sector for angel investors.
