Mysuru-based medical devices manufacturer Skanray Technologies has acquired the India business of Italian dental equipment company Mectron Dental for $5 million. Post the acquisition, Skanray will hive off its dental business into a separate subsidiary, Skanray Dental Technologies, to strengthen its dental solutions footprint in India and other markets. Skanray is planning to pump in $25 million (including the cost of acquisition) into dental solutions business.
